Definition of a Cozy Mystery: Cozy mysteries are a subgenre of crime fiction. There is less violence, sex, and profanity. The other attribute to a cozy is that the sleuth is an amateur and does not hold a position in the law enforcement community. Most times this sleuth is a female.

In my opinion, this is one of the largest themes found in Cozy Mysteries. Very enjoyable theme as it provides the author a lot of variety.
