About the Book:
No one in Sinful liked Pansy Arceneaux, but who hated her enough to kill her?

When aspiring actress Pansy Arceneaux returns to Sinful, Louisiana to head up the beauty pageant portion of the Summer Festival, CIA assassin Fortune Redding knows she’s in for trouble. Her undercover identity as a former beauty queen makes Fortune the perfect choice to chair the event with Pansy, but Pansy’s abrasive personality makes it impossible to get through a single rehearsal without a fight.

When Pansy turns up dead, Fortune is the prime suspect.

Armed with only her wits and two conniving seniors referred to locally as The Geritol Mafia, Fortune launches an investigation to find the real killer before her cover is blown.

My Review:
This is a fun series. The characters, even the senior sleuths, are very well developed and add a lot to the story. Fortune is definitely not finding comfort in playing someone she’s not, but it adds to the suspense and wondering if town citizens will find out her secret. Keeping her distance with Carter is hard, especially with the attraction between them.

Being faced with a murder during a pageant is definitely not her cup of tea, but Fortune thankfully is friendly enough with others she trusts to get her through the unknowns. The Geritol Mafia proves to be a huge assistance in helping her and not blowing her cover. They also provide the humor and fun, along with the dangerous situations.

This series is exciting and definitely fast paced. I am very much enjoying the series!
