About the Book:
With his rugged good looks, vast wealth and family name, hell-raiser Hutch Carmody is still the golden boy of Parable, Montana. But he's done some growing up—making peace with his illegitimate half brother and inheriting half of Whisper Creek Ranch, which should have been all his. These days, Hutch knows there are some things money can't buy: like the heart of loving, ladylike divorcĂ©e Kendra Shepherd.Kendra's quiet mansion reminds her of what she wants most—a devoted husband and the pitter-patter of little feet. She can't get Hutch Carmody out of her mind. But a rough-and-tumble cowboy like Hutch, coming home for family dinner? Seems crazy! Then again, crazier dreams have become reality under the vast Montana sky.

My Review:

I received this book through Netgalley as I love Linda Lael Miller and had also read book one of this series. This was a quick read and I would have finished sooner if I had the time. I simply adored Madison and what a great mom Kendra is to her. I don’t know that I’m a fan of Hutch, even after finishing the book, he just seems a little more rough around the edges than my liking. Other than Madisyn, Opal was another favorite character in the book. I love how she gets involved in many different ways and helps things move along.

I liked this installment very much as I can see several potential characters for future books of this series. I also liked that this book wasn’t a repeat of book one in any way. A lot of fresh stuff going on. Excited to read additional books in this series and get to know the new people in town.

Recommend for anyone who likes Contemporary and Western Romance.

"Hutch gave her a startling boost by splaying one hand across her backside and pushing. She gasped, surged skyward and landed in the saddle with a thump." (Big Sky Mountain, Linda Lael Miller Kindle Location 2317-18)

  1. I enjoyed this one too, it's a sweet series.

  2. I loved this, there is something about small towns and cowboys that get me, I've read books one and two and am eagerly awaiting the next one. Awesome review!
